Under construction, on purpose.AGX Institute builds in the open. What you are walking through is a working proposal for how a continent feeds itself, shared while the thinking is still warm. Nothing here is finished. All of it is meant.
An illustrative proposal for integrated agro industrial corridors across Africa. Choose a node, or let the corridor walk you through it.
Africa holds the land, the water systems, the ports, and the people to feed itself and steady the world's food supply. What it has lacked is the connective tissue: infrastructure designed as one system rather than a scatter of projects.
The GreenLine is AGX Institute's flagship proposal for that connective tissue. It imagines corridors of agro industrial activity moving across the continent, where each participating country hosts a node matched to what it can do best. Some nodes grow, store, process, and ship. Some run a single value chain from seed to finished product. Some plug agriculture into industries already on the ground. And some move goods, full stop.
The map above is the proposal in visual form. Every node on it is illustrative. The point is the method behind the map, which is where this page goes next.
No two countries enter the corridor the same way. The design question for each node is simple to ask and hard to answer: what role does this place already want to play?
The fourth role is the quiet one: the logistics gateway. A country can anchor the corridor without growing a single crop, the way a well placed port anchors a trade route. On the map, these are the open circles.
Nodes are not chosen by enthusiasm. Each candidate location passes through the same screen before it is drawn on any map.
Published research, trade records, and field data on what the territory grows, moves, and consumes today. The record, not the pitch.
Can this node compete at industrial scale, against established research standards for what makes integrated agricultural projects hold? If the answer is maybe, the answer is no.
Full integration, a vertical chain, a horizontal link, or a gateway. The role follows the evidence, and the corridor absorbs each node as what it genuinely is.
A corridor is drawn in minutes and earned over years. These are the programs being built to do the earning.
Where the synthesis happens in person. A shared research campus, imagined here as an early concept: courtyards for the conversations, laboratories for the proof, and trial plots a short walk from both. Touch the markers to look around.
Everything AGX Institute publishes will land here first: white papers, collaborative papers, and the record of who is building the corridor with us. The shelves are being stocked, and the first volumes are in preparation.
